How the show is experienced
Four acts that transform a drink into a fire ritual. This is how queimada unfolds live before your guests.
Preparation & authentic ingredients
On the table, the artisanal clay pot receives the D.O. orujo, coffee beans, sliced citrus fruits, cinnamon bark and sugar. Everything ready in view of the guests.
The blackout and the blue flame
The lights go out. The first ignition lights the sugar and unleashes the dancing blue flame over the pot. The silence fills with mystic expectation.
The conxuro and the fire cascade
The druid recites the ancestral conxuro while raising with the ladle an arc of burning liquid fire: the cascade of flames that lights up the faces of those present.
The sacred toast in clay cups
After burning the alcohol, the queimada becomes smooth, sweet and digestive. It is served in clay cups for a purifying toast that closes the ritual.

The full sacred poem that chases away meigas, trasnos and evil spirits. Read it in original Galician or Spanish, personalize it with the names of the honorees or copy the text.
Mouchos, coruxas, sapos e bruxas. Demos, trasnos e diaños, espíritos das nevadas veigas. Corvos, pintigas e meigas: feitizos das menciñeiras. Pobres cañotas furadas, fogar dos vermes e alimañas. Lume das Santas Compañas, mal de ollo, negros meigallos, cheiro dos mortos, tronos e raios. Oubeo do can, pregón da morte; fuciño do sábalo e pé do coello. Pecadora lingua da mala muller casada cun home vello. Averno de Satán e Belcebú, lume dos cadáveres ardentes, corpos mutilados dos indecentes, peidos dos infernais cus, muxido da mar embravecida. Barriga inútil da muller virxe, falar dos gatos que andan á xaneira, guedella porca da cabra parida.
Con este fol levantarei as chamas deste lume que asemella ao do Inferno, e fuxirán as bruxas a cabalo das súas vasoiras, indo se bañar na praia das areas gordas. ¡Oíde, oíde! os ruxidos que dan as que non poden deixar de queimarse no augardente quedando así purificadas. E cando este brebaxe baixe polas nosas gorxas, quedaremos libres dos males do noso espírito e de todo embruxamento.

Frequently asked questions
We solve your doubts
Yes. The queimada can be performed indoors without bothersome smoke thanks to combustion control and the use of fireproof protectors. We assess the space before the event to ensure maximum safety.
No. During the ritual the alcohol burns off when the sugar is lit, so the result is a smooth, sweet and aromatic drink, very digestive, with a much lower alcohol content than people think.
We recommend booking at least 2–3 weeks in advance, especially in high season (San Juan, summer weddings and Christmas). For very special dates, the earlier the better.
Nothing. We bring everything: the clay pot, the D.O. orujo, the ingredients, the cups, the fireproof material and the ceremonial master. You just need to tell us the space where the ritual will take place.
